In order to tell the story of the Dolomites, it is first of all necessary to tell about corals, seaweeds and mollusks dwelling a sea called Tethys. These are the animals, that with their natural life cycle created the magnificence that nowadays dominates the landscape in front of our eyes. A 230-year-old history, before the titanic forces lifted up this magnificence from the ocean.

Called after the name of its explorer, the geologist Déodat de Dolomieu, these mountains raise now fiercely at 3000 mt. high, in a territory, that with great effort, strives to remain unaltered, contributing to the nomination of natural human heritage of Unesco obtained in 2009.

From the declaration of the UNESCO committee you can read: “Their peaks, spectacularly vertical and steep, present a variety of sculptural shapes, that is extraordinary in a world context. Geology, exposed in a superb way, show a cross section of the marine life in the Triassic period, after the biggest extinction ever remembered in the history of life on Earth".

Today the Dolomites are known all over the world and every day innumerable sport passionates face its ridges on the ski, walk through their panoramic paths and conquer their walls climbing enjoying the unique show of the enrosadira, when at sunset the peaks of the Dolomites light themselves in a hot red.
